Hugo Barclay, UK Fair Director of Affordable Art Fair, wrote 10 tips on buying art for AJ Bell Money Matters' Feel Good Collecting guide, a joint publication aimed at first-time collectors and investors. The guide reports that 82% of art collectors spend under £5,000 per work, and 49% cite supporting living artists as their main motivation, more than double the 19% who cite investment value.

Label Latte // Origin Story

Label Latte is an NFC-embedded art label created by Hugo Barclay. Collectors tap the label with their phone to save an artwork's details — no app required — and receive the information by email shortly after leaving the exhibition. The product addresses lost gallery sales caused by collectors forgetting artist names and details, and by galleries not following up with interested visitors.
